Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the questions we meet daily, and therefore felt it would be a good idea to try and answer the most common questions right here, on our new amazing website. Should there still be a few un-answered questions regardless of this list, then by all means feel free to contact us at anytime for clarification.

HOW SAFE ARE YOUR YACHTS?

Our yachts undergo stringent safety checks carried out by marine surveyors appointed by the MPA on an annual basis. In addition, we have life jackets onboard for every passenger, as well as the crew. We also carry lifejackets for children in a variety of sizes, and encourage all children under the age of 12, and both children and adults who are not confident swimmers, to wear a lifejackets whilst the boat is underway. Independently, Lloyd Marine's yachts have been surveyed and certified for safety by both BP and Shell.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

In the event of rain, it will be at our skipper's discretion whether to continue with the charter. If our skipper thinks that it is not safe to sail, the charter will be re-scheduled to a later date (subject to availability).

DOES MY CHILD / BABY COUNT AS A PASSENGER?

Yes. Under MPA licensing laws, everyone on board, no matter what their age, is considered as part of the headcount.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible, especially if you are considering booking a charter on a weekend. Please note that our yachts are busy, and that bookings are made on first come first serve basis. A booking is only confirmed upon payment of a 50% deposit.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Our cancellation policy states:
· Cancellations made more than 28 days prior to charter departure date will receive a full refund less an administration fee of S$300 and the agent's booking commission (if the latter is applicable)
· For cancellations made less than 1 month prior to departure, no refund of deposit will be made.
· For cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to departure, no refund of fees will be made.
· We strongly recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance to protect you in the event that you are unable to make the charter.
